5 months agoHey MegRunsTam - thanks for the screenshot and the additional details you provided.
Can you have a look at the preferences of the Dropbox desktop app and let us know your Dropbox folder's exact location as shown in the sync tab?
Also, are you getting an error when you try to drag your Dropbox folder back to your Favorites or it's just not responding? Did you try rebooting your computer and/or quitting the app and relaunching it?

Hi,
I've tried to uninstall the app and reinstsall, however it says the app it still open somewhere on my computer...I don't know where that would be😂.
I've done the turn computer off/turn on....and problem persists.
As you can see from the screenshots above there is not Dropbox icon on the upper right to click on to check preferences. Is there somewhere else I can look?
When I drag the app to Favorites I don't get an error message. It just isn't responding.

Hi MegRunsTam, could you try using Force Quit to exit the Dropbox desktop application, or try using these steps my colleague suggested to exit the app.
Once done, try following the rest of the steps to reinstall the app, and let me know how it goes!

Hi there,
I was able to uninstall the desktop app using terminal. I shut my computer down and restarted it. Reinstalled the app and it sill won't let me drag it over to "favorites".
Any other ideas?
Thx

Just for clarification, are you dragging the Dropbox folder to the sidebar, or the Dropbox app itself from the Applications folder?
Could you paste a screenshot of what you see when trying to drag the Dropbox folder to the Favorites bar?
