"Content Not Published - Your post contains invalid HTML" error when copy pasting text on the web.

Device
(Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 5)
Operating System/Browser (if using the web)
(Windows 11, Firefox 143.0.4)

Question or Issue

I just tried to report a problem on the Web UI. When copying texts from another web window, and after writing the message, I receive the error message "Content Not Published - Your post contains invalid HTML".

Please resolve the issue of content not being able to be published when copying texts into the window to report errors.

This is what the error looks like.

That would be expected. Those elements are being filtered from the submission, which is pretty common on many, many forum packages.

If you need to post the actual code, use the Insert Code button in your reply. If you're trying to copy and paste something from a website to show an error or similar, stick to plain text or include a screenshot, or use the options below the reply box to change the appearance of the text.

OK, thanks for the clarification. 👍

I think what solves the issue is to copy the text and just select "Paste Without Formatting" after right-clicking in the editor window.

Thanks for the screenshot sali_CPH - much appreciated. Do you get the same results after clearing your browser's cache and/or on another browser as well?

Yes, screenshots seem to work. Also typing text in the editor and posting it works.

Only if I copy formatted text from other webpages, I may receive this error.

    Welcome to the forum, sali_CPH

Just to clarify, you mean that you’re getting this error when trying to post something on our forum, correct?

Instead of copy pasting the text here, can you try attaching a screenshot of it instead? Does this still produce the same error message?

Let me know how it goes.
