Dropbox application suddenly not working with Windows 11
Yesterday, I noticed that Dropbox was no longer connected on my laptop running Windows 11. There is no system tray icon for Dropbox, and clicking on the start menu app icon does nothing at all; same for "Open Dropbox" on the website. I've uninstalled, reinstalled, rebooted multiple times, tried different firewall settings, redownloaded the installer, but no luck with anything. A previous thread discusses a similar problem, but no solution:

I found the solution by logging out of my Windows 11 user account and downloading Dropbox while logged in on the Visitor account. I switched back to my user account and was able to open the Dropbox app and link my account. Very strange.

Hey PDub81, welcome to the Dropbox Community.
Sorry to see you're having trouble with our application.
Have you tried the offline installer for Windows to see if that works?
Let me know how it goes.

The offline installer didn't work. Same problem as with the other installation. I click on the Dropbox icon and nothing, and no Dropbox folder visible in the file explorer.

Hey PDub81, sorry to jump in here!
Can you try an advanced re-install on your end, and let me know how it goes?

I followed these steps and it doesn't work. Clicking the Dropbox icon does nothing, still no system tray icon either.

Dropbox for S Mode is a workaround that allows me to open the files I need in the apps I use, but I can't consider this a permanent solution.

Unfortunately this problem has occurred again. I need suggestions for a permanent solution. I don't want to be stuck reinstalling every few weeks.
