Dropbox Update on Mac > Alias Folder on Desktop
Hi.
Downloading the new update on my Mac put an alias folder on my Desktop, with the Dropbox folder under locations. I'd like to work with the alias folder and a test file ended up in both fold...

Hey LikesBooks, thanks for posting to the Dropbox Community today!
Indeed, the new Dropbox for macOS app will install the Dropbox folder on ~/Library/CloudStorage, which will be accessible from Locations.
Is this what you see on your end?
Can you send me a screenshot of the alias folder, so I can check it out?

3 years agoHi LikesBooks, I do not think so.
Generally, we recommend that you remove these symlinks from your Dropbox account. You can do that by accessing the symlink file path, and remove the content by dragging them elsewhere on your computer (if you don't want them deleted).
