Feedback about not being able to link two Business accounts.
Hi, currently we can only join one single team in Dropbox (in the app, to have our personnal 2Tb folder, PLUS a buisness/team folder from client A for example that pays for 40Tb.)
If we work for client B who pays DB for 25 TB, we cannot join this team, we cannot as a team make use of these 25TB we pay for, as we're already logged/connected with client A on our app, and we can't connect more than one single team to our personal account.
The workarounds makes zeros sense practically (buying other computers, having multiple windows users ect.. it's absurd, obviously, even if it's the official current workaround for lack of multi-team support.)
We should just be able to join Client A team folder (this we can do today.), but then also join Client B, then C ect..
Having the possibility to connect to only one single team, is outrageously bad, people cannot make a living with just one client at a time. And joining a client from our personnal account is also ridiculous as we have like 100Gb of free space on our personnal DB instead of the 40TB the client is paying for, for us to use together.
Another aberration, is the need to use dummy emails to join teams, there must be some reasons but in practice it's so extremely bad to have to create a dummy email (if our client doesn't provide us with one, which perfectly happens.) just to join a DB team account. We should just be able to join any number of teams from our personnal email/account.
Today we need to have empy gmails, dummies, to log/join any new team, and need to keep access to these dummy emails. So absurd.
Thanks a lot !

HI, thanks for your answers, but really there is no reason privacy or security would interract with that, it's not like the different teams folder would communicate in any way, just like the members of the current team you joined do not have access to your personnal dropbox obviously. If you disconnect and reconnect with another account, it does the same thing, except it needs to delete and re-download the entirety of your second personnal dropbox, plus the entirety of the current team folder hooked to this second personnal account, which is not a workable solution obviously.
So really there's no way around it, you need to allow users to collaborate with / join more than one client / team / buisness acount. - Dell_Dropbox3 months ago

Just wanna jump in here on the heels of Megan. I completely understand how frustrating it must be to juggle multiple clients and run into these limitations, especially when the workarounds add extra hassle instead of helping.
Moments like this where the community calls out where we could better fit their use case are the sparks that ultimately stir up new product decisions. So thanks for taking the time to leave a detailed account of how you think things could be better. Much appreciated.

Your feedback regarding linking two Business accounts has been very valuable and I will endeavor to make sure your voice is heard.
Currently this wouldn't be possible due to security and privacy reasons, especially when joining a business team.
However, we listen to your needs because it allows us to fully appreciate how Dropbox fits into and influences your daily routine, and we want to continue to improve.
If you need something else, please let me know and I will be more than happy to help every step of the way.
