I have trouble installing Dropbox on Windows 11; I keep seeing an error 2 message.
Hey guys
Having trouble installing Dropbox (both online and offline installer) on my Windows 11 pc. Event viewer has the 2 following errors:
- DCOM got error "2" attempting to start the service DropboxUpdaterInternalService123.0.6299.49 with arguments "--com-service" in order to run the server:
{389C3D18-603D-5829-972C-A80D09824068}
- The DropboxUpdater InternalService 123.0.6299.49 (DropboxUpdaterInternalService123.0.6299.49) service failed to start due to the following error:
The system cannot find the file specified.
How can I get this installed, any help would be appreciated.

When you get the chance, please follow these steps to perform an advanced reinstall of the Dropbox app on your computer.
If that doesn’t help, I’d like a screenshot of any error(s) you’re still getting.
Let me know how it goes.

When you get the chance, please follow these steps to perform an advanced reinstall of the Dropbox app on your computer.
If that doesn’t help, I’d like a screenshot of any error(s) you’re still getting.
