3 years agoHey ztoa, sorry to jump in, but I just wanted to mention that if you’d like to get the full Dropbox desktop app, you need to use:
A computer capable of running the required operating system, and one of the following desktop environments:
- GNOME shell (may need the TopIcons extension to get the tray icon)
- Unity
- GNOME Classic
- XFCE with the corresponding Nautilus dependencies
And these additional requirements, when applicable:
- GTK 2.24 or later
- Glib 2.40 or later
- Libappindicator 12.10 or later
- Nautilus 3.10.1 or later

Hi Walter.
I found out searching on the web that dropbox dont work correctly with Wayland.
After changing my Gnome Shell back to X11 it worked fine!
Maybe this info need be verified and is important to be showed with the install instructions?

I can also confirm that Dropbox doesn't open the GUI on Fedora 40 with Wayland. It syncs the files correctly, but the major problem is that I can't control all Dropbox settings through the command line as I could with the graphical app. Moreover, I don't know if all end users would like to use commands.
All dependencies are installed by default.
