Opening the Dropbox folder enables Num Lock.
Hi, I have a weird little problem. Every time I open the Dropbox folder (double click on the icon on the task bar), there's a Windows notification popping up that Num Lock has been enabled. This only...

11 months agoGot it, thanks for the heads up Mistic_John!
If you quit our app, and try to open your Dropbox folder do you notice the same behavior?
Also, how long has this been happening, and do you notice this with other folders too?

Hi Megan,
I have a short video clip just to show how it looks on my end, but I'm not sure how to share it here.
I quit the app and it didn't help, but it did upgrade DB to 216.4.4420.
The problem persists ever since I upgraded my Windows from 10 to 11, which is about a month ago. Doesn't happen with any other application or function. It's just Dropbox somehow triggering the num lock.
I'd like to make a correction to my previous post - the notification shows up only if the num lock has already been previously enabled with the key. If it's been disabled, opening DB does not trigger the notification. So it's not that the num lock gets actually switched on or off by DB, it's only the notification popping up for whatever reason.

Hi there Mistic_John - thanks for the additional information there.
Can you please try a reinstall and let me know if this persists?
If it does, you could also try creating a new OS profile and trying to install the app there.

I've also been having the same problem for a few days now. Every time I open the Dropbox folder through the icon on the Taskbar it activates Num Lock and also Alt. I have Windows 10 and I've already tried reinstalling the application.

Hey there @ArturV - thanks for bringing this to our attention.
If it's not too much to ask, can you try creating a new OS profile and try to install the desktop app there?
Do you get the same results?
