Hey amelchi, the reason I haven't reached out internally is because my colleague, Walter might be onto something here.
Since the app works, and you can see the icon when in safe mode, then it sounds like one of your third-party apps might be interfering with Dropbox.
I suggest that you individually pause one at a time, until you find one that could be the culprit there.

running 15.5 and dropbox 228.3.5456 on mac studio m1 max and having the same issue, when clicking the dropbox icon in the top menu bar I no longer get the dropdown menu that shows sync status of files. Dropbox seems to be working, and I can right click it to get to settings, but the menu no longer opens to show the list of files syncing which I used allll the time.

Sorry to hear this, _MKT. Can you send me a screenshot of the icon you’re clicking on exactly and what you see right after that?
If you downgrade your Dropbox app from the beta app version to the stable one, are you experiencing the same behavior?
Before switching over to the stable app version, please also make sure that early releases have been turned off via your General tab here.

Hi Nancy, I've turned off early releases but don't have time to downgrade to the stable one today - I'll try tonight. Screenshot below of the icon I am referring to - the sync status dropdown (showing a list of most recent and currently syncing files) usually comes up when it's clicked. Now clicking it does nothing.

Hey _MKT - just a nudge on the above. Did downgrading to the stable version of the Dropbox desktop app help with the issue you were facing after all?

Hi Walter and Nancy I didn't end up needing to downgrade (which would have been a huge chore with our dropbox being 1TB+ of files), thankfully a few days after I turned off early releases it fixed itself! v 228.4.5567 seemed to fix things.
