I solved the problem.I performed a thorough uninstallation, deleting files and folders one by one, being very meticulous. Despite having uninstalled it and installed the current version, I discovered some remnants of the beta version.
Then I was asked to install Dropbox for macOS on File Provider.
After doing so, everything worked perfectly.
So, the issue was caused by a faulty uninstallation of the beta version.

Hey Edouardd, can you also give these steps a go, to see if they help?
- Click on the Apple logo located at the top-left of the screen.
- Click on 'System Preferences'.
- Click on 'Extensions'.
- Click on 'Finder Extensions'.
- Only leave Dropbox Finder Integration ticked.
- Once this is completed, suggest to close the window.
- Click one more time on the Apple logo at the top-left of the screen.
- Click on 'Force Quit'.
- Look for Finder on the list.
- Click on 'Finder' then 'Relaunch'.

Hannah :
I followed the procedure for both FINDER EXTENSIONS and ADDED EXTENSIONS.
It did not fix the problem.Still not working.
==>. Dropbox cost much more money than any other competitor, and is the only giving me troubles.
Seriously, I am considering cancel my more than 10 years old subscription, because a problem like this, is not fixed with agility.

Hey Edouardd, thanks for checking back with us!
Before we reach out to you, can you let us know if you've used the Dropbox app in the meantime, and if it has been updated to the latest version?
Are you still running the beta one and are facing the same issue?

Hi there,
I have just upgraded to a new Macbook laptop and am now facing the same issues - no sync icons and no dropbox options when i right click. I have also done the same processes suggested multiple times and deleted/reinstalled dropbox twice to no avail.
Can someone let me know if a solution has been found?

Hi chris chris chris, sorry to hear you're having issues with this.
Could you let us know the Dropbox desktop app's exact status and version as shown in your menu bar at the moment?
If you happen to be running any 3rd party apps on the affected computer, have you tried closing them one by one to see if any of them is causing issues?

Hi my dropbox version is v174.4.5852 and it says that my files are all up to date. I just upgraded from a macmini (which had no issues), to a new macbook pro laptop and have now encountered this issue. Another member from my team is also experiencing the same issue of missing dropbox icons.
My MacOS is 13.3.1.

Thanks for the additional information chris chris chris - much appreciated.
Are you running any 3rd party apps that might be monitoring your files such as antivirus, syncing or backup programs or apps?
If so, you might want to have a look at this discussion too.
