Yesterday I downloaded and installed "Dropbox for macOS on File Provider," which appears to be v215.4.7202. It is running on a Mac mini M4 Pro with macOS Sequoia 15.2 (build 24C101). Now whenever I AirDrop a file from my iPhone 15 Pro Max running iOS 18.2.1, the file ends up in /private/tmp instead of ~/Downloads. I've read Topics in the Help Center posted during the past two years that are describing exactly this problem. Some say that it is due to configuring Dropbox to automatically backup of the Downloads folder but I do NOT have Dropbox set up to backup any folders, including Downloads. How to I get AirDrop to put files in ~/Downloads again. Thank you. - nello PS: I tried to include screenshots but they were 'not allowed'.Solved182Views1like4CommentsMicrosoft Teams integration loses login connection every other day
The new Microsoft Teams integration is great; we can now open shared links directly on the Desktop via the native app, which is a great time saver. Only bug for the integration is that users have to login to Dropbox via Teams every other day. It loses the login authorization and the 'open file in app' function is then not available anymore. Users need to login everyday in to Dropbox via Teams to make it work again.96Views0likes4CommentsWe can't add 'Dropbox for Teams' as a storage account for Office 365 on a Mac.
Hello, We have just moved all of our team's Mac devices to 'File Provider' to enable co-authoring, and there's only one Mac device that doesn't have the option to add 'Dropbox for Teams' as a storage account in Microsoft Office. We have - Updated to the latest version of Microsoft Office (Version 16.92) Updated to the latest version of Dropbox (v214.4.5217) Have moved Dropbox over to File Provider (Sync setting says "You are on the latest version of Dropbox for MacOS on File Provider") Checked that we are running macOS Sonoma Version 14.7.2. Why can't we see 'Dropbox for Teams' when we go to Microsoft Word > Open > Manage Storage Accounts? The only options under 'Add Storage Account' are OneDrive, OneDrive for Business and SharePoint. Thanks. AKSolved320Views0likes4CommentsMoving Folders from Dropbox to Photos Album on MacBook

Dear Dropbox Community, I have a question regarding an issue some of my customers are facing with Dropbox. While many of them are very satisfied with Dropbox’s features, a few have encountered a specific problem when using Adobe InDesign or Illustrator on Mac. The issue arises when they import and use various elements from multiple folders. Initially, this works fine, but problems occur when another team member tries to work on the same file later. The links to the files are lost, and they have to be manually recreated, which is both tedious and time-consuming. It appears that the problem stems from each user having a unique home folder name. Dropbox, unable to locate the identical home folder name, breaks the links. The Dropbox support team suggested two possible solutions: 1. Ensure each computer has a home folder with the same name. 2. Place the Dropbox folder at a higher level than the home folder (such as Macintosh HD or the top level of the user folder). However, I have tried this, and the Dropbox app refuses to create a folder at that level. Has anyone else experienced this issue? If so, what solutions have you found effective? Thank you in advance for your valuable help.1.1KViews0likes4CommentsTrouble opening the Dropbox desktop app on new Mac Air
I'm way out of my depth here. I've been a long time user of Drobox and have installed the desktop app previously but its not working this time. I used the Migration Assistant to set up new Mac Air from MacPro. I've found Dropbox in launchpad but there are no files. I have tried to delete but I get a dialogue box saying its open and cannot be deleted. I have tried installing a new one both through my account or from the Dropbox site but it progresses no further thn showing up in the tool bar and then disappearing beofre the new step. I also think I may have logged in to the new app via google which I never use so I'm getting myself ina twist. Any help would be gratefully received. I'm still having the same problem despite following your instructions in ticket #23327492 The MacOS FINDER app often freezes, causing transfers between folders to stall. This results in the need to either "relaunch" or "force quit" the Finder application. This only started happening after I allowed the MacOS system folder to be integrated with the DROPBOX app.926Views0likes1Comment
