Dropbox Paper on iPad

I downloaded Dropbox app on the latest updated iOS for my iPad from 2021 with all software updated

I also downloaded Dropbox Paper app .  I read somewhere that Dropbox paper should be able to integrate with Dropbox account. I can see that I am connected on Paper to the correct Dropbox account but I don’t see any folders from my Dropbox on Paper and vice versa. Is this correct ?

    Hi Danny13, happy Thursday!

Is your account a newly-created one? Also, are you able to see your existing Dropbox Paper documents, in your Paper app?

    Let me know more!

    Hello Megan
No - the Dropbox account is multiple years old and has a big folder structure already.

When I access the Paper app it shows no ability to see that folder structure. It does show a different folder structure which I must have created a few years ago on Paper somehow although I have no recollection of creating that. I’ve played around to try any obvious way to see the Dropbox folder structure via Paper or even the existing Paper folder on the Dropbox account with no joy. It’s as if Paper is a totally different app which has no link or visibility of my Dropbox account. I’m not sure that’s intentional from the Dropbox team but it is a poor idea if it is intentional.

Hi Danny13, for your case, your Paper app should show you a different structure, with all of your Paper files there (that are separate from your Dropbox files).

Unless, it's a newly created Dropbox account, which would then have the new structure of Paper, with all the content integrated in the Paper app.

    I hope this clarifies.

Thanks - it clarifies that it's intentional. But unfortunately doesn't clarify why a new Dropbox user gets this feature whilst I don't as a fee paying member for years. Perhaps you know the answer. It's obviously a feature that I'd very useful and I would like to have that feature.
    Regards
    Danny

Or can anyone help with this issue regarding Dropbox Paper not really doing what it’s billed to be doing?
