Unable to link Google Sheets to Google Slides

Hello,

I want to link a Google Sheet graph to a Google Slide. This way when the graph is updated in Google Sheets, you can simply click Update in Google Slides and it updates with the changes is Google Sheets.
If there is another way to link a graph to Google Slides please let me know.In DropboxIn Google

Hi Alex987 - welcome to the Dropbox Community!

I'm not really sure where Dropbox comes into play in the scenario you mentioned; could you elaborate a tad on your query?

    Thanks!

    Hello,

Both documents are in DropBox as we have migrated from Google Drive.

So I created 1 Google Slides doc and 1 Google Sheets doc in DropBox. Added all the information etc however I am not able to link the graph from Google Sheets to Google Slides.

Google mentions to go to Google Slides click Instert - Chart- From Sheets; However it does not give me the option. Wanted to see if anyone knows any ways to link the charts from Google Sheets to Google Slides so when you update it in Google Sheets, then it can update in Google Slides.

    Hope this makes sense.

    Many thanks,

    Alex

Hi Alex987; are you still having issues with this?

If so, have you tried contacting Google to ask about this directly?

In google drive, if we have both google sheets and google slides docs, then charts copied from the sheets and pasted on the slides will be linked. As a result, any changes made in the source data (i.e. in google sheets), will automatically update the charts in the google slides.

However, this doesn't happen when both google sheets and google slides documents are saved in dropbox.

This is not a google issue and instead is a syncing issue between the 2 docs in the dropbox platform.
