Word document's format created on the web, doesn't seem the same when viewing using the desktop app.

No, according to Microsoft, that's not possible. While the Word Web App is integrated with Dropbox, Dropbox doesn't have any control of the application itself. Microsoft specifically states the following:
You cannot create new styles or modify styles in Word Web App.There are always style and feature differences between Office Online apps and the full desktop applications.
