How can I get all employees to one Dropbox account? Do we need a team account?

How can I sync all employees to one Dropbox account so we can all see the same files? Do I need to have a team Dropbox account?

New employee made a Dropbox account but is saying it ran out of space. How do we get everyone on the same plan or do we need to pay for each separately?

  • Hey taylorb, for using Dropbox and welcome to the Community!

The best way to achieve this would be through a Dropbox for Business teams account where you'd be able to onboard all the employees to the same team account.

You can check our plans from this page.

Let me know if you have any other questions!

Thank you for your response. If we already have a business account, how does everyone log in to be in the same Dropbox? Does everyone need their own logins or just one altogether?

Hi taylorb, you would have different credentials, but work on similar content.

You'd have your personal space, with personal content there, and team content that you could access widely.

Which plan exactly is the business plan that allows this?

If we already have our own credentials, how do we merge so we can all see the same content and files?

Hi taylorb, all of our Business plans allow that. You can see more here

As for merging: one account would need to upgrade to the Business plan, and create the team. That would be the Team admin. Once the admin and the Team are created, they can invite the rest to join as members.
