Is there a lower-priced plan than Plus?

The lowest individual plan that I see is $120 per year for 2 TB.

Can the $60 per year per TB add-on for paying customers be offered as a standalone plan?

I think that's a fair price point compared to competitors.

  • Hi Prov 31 Marketing Firm , thanks for bringing this to our attention.

Currently, there are two options for some users in certain countries for cheaper Dropbox subscriptions.

Firstly, there is the Basic Extra plan, which offers 50 GB of quota, which can be accessed from this page, if you're eligible.

Secondly, via the Android and iOS mobile apps, there is Dropbox Simple, and offers 500 GB, which is again available in certain countries.

Both of these plans are still active with those quota limits as of the date on this post.

If you have any further queries, feel free to message back.

Thank you. Unfortunately I am not seeing the Basic Plus plan, so I guess the United States isn't a country where it is offered.

I haven't tried looking at Dropbox Simple because I absolutely need my Dropbox files to be available to be opened and saved from my PC. Is that possible with Dropbox simple?

Hi Clare1988, Dropbox Simple is the same as any Dropbox plan, in that you can connect your Dropbox desktop application and mobile device to your account to sync files.

Yes, I did not see the Basic Extra plan either.

The Dropbox Simple plan is not available in all phone store checkout options. I have five phones and have only seen the Dropbox Simple on one device.

Okay, it's looking like maybe I just go with an external hard drive then. I really do not need to immediately jump from 100 GB to 2000 GB and it seems like that's my only option here.
