Just noticed I’m being charged on a Basic account
I’ve only just noticed I’ve been charged over the last three months for my Basic account, I’ve tried to log a ticket, but that’s not allowed with a basic account so I can't get help or talk to a human!!
My credit card statement doesn’t have a transaction ID, just states “Dropbox Db.Tt/Cchelp Ie” so the billing checker does not help me. I can't get anywhere because I'm stuck talking to bots and going in circles. Please can somebody help me?
I cannot contact support directly because I'm on a Basic plan.
Thank you for your help,
John

Basic accounts are free and carry no charges. If you're being charged while on the Basic plan, then you're being charged for another account.

You'll need to contact Dropbox Support directly. Visit the Support page while you're NOT signed in to a Dropbox account, including these forums, and you'll see an option for Billing issues. It's best to use an Incognito or Private browsing session to make sure you're not signed in.
Dropbox cannot charge you if they don't have your billing information. If you've been charged and didn't give them your billing information, then someone else has and you should be contacting your bank.

Hey GeordieJ, let's jump right into this!
I searched for your existing ticket, and it seems that it was accidentally caught by our spam filter, that's why it was closed.
On my end I went ahead, and created a new ticket for you. I'll see you there.
Thanks!
