Switched from team to personal account and used the wrong email address.
Last week I switched from from a business account to a personal one (after selling the business). I paid the subscription and received the confirmation. However. I still receive notice from DropBox that my account needs upgrading. It turns out that, for reasons I don't understand, the renewal was done under a gmail address I rarely use (not my usual and DropBox email). How do I switch that subscription to my actual email address?

It's not possible to move a subscription from one account to another. Your only option is to swap the email addresses on the accounts so the paid subscription has the correct email address. You'll need to use a third email address, not currently associated with Dropbox, to do the swap.
You'll also need to move your files, if any, from one account to the other. You can use a shared folder between the two accounts to facilitate the move.
