Disable screenshot tool, windows
In windows, now, a preview of a screenshot pops up in the right hand corner. I do not want this. In invites me to paste, edit, or delete the screenshot. The only thing I want is for the screenshot to save to my drive. I want the ability to paste the screenshot minutes later, like normal.
Now, with this dropbox tool, if I take a screenshot, then open a program, the screenshot isn't there anymore. Previously I could open the program and paste.

Here are the settings. Nothing has to do with disableing that tool. - Mark2 years ago

That first screenshot makes it look like you've installed Dropbox Capture. Maybe try and see if that is running or you can uninstall :)

I haven't installed that.
There aren't any programs running under that name. - Mark2 years ago

What happens if you do a screenshot and Dropbox is closed completely?
- Avaviel2 years agoNew member | Level 2
dropbox closed: nothing. Normal screeshot. AKA it does nothing unless I paste.
Dropbox open: The silly popup inviting me to paste, then it goes away after five seconds or so. (It saves the screenshot as well.)
Is this a new update 'feature' or something? - Mark2 years ago

I really have no idea I'm afraid. I am not seeing it on mine but I'm on a Mac and Dropbox are really, really dire at posting change logs...
What version of Dropbox are you using? If you mouse over its icon it should tell you.

Confirmed a dropbox 'feature' but I can't find any info on the web about disabling it.
214.3.5170 is my version, on Windows.

It MIGHT be a beta feature. I can't tell, but I've opted out and I'll see if that fixes it next restart.

If thats the case you will need to install a none beta version locally or you will stay on the 214.3.x branch until it goes stable.

Its also worth adding comments on to the Beta thread to say you dont like it / want opt outs etc.
