I can't add my own other email - says it's already taken

Can't add a new email (my main one I use) or change it - it says it's already taken. I don't have another Dropbox account. What do I do? I never check this email much and want to use my main one.

If it says it's already taken, it means there's another Dropbox account that already has that email address associated with it. If you have control over that email, reset the password to the Dropbox account so you can sign in. You'll either need to delete that account or change its email address (to a third one) in order to free up that email address for use on your main account.
