I want to upgrade my plan, but I wonder if I'll be able to change the email linked to my account.
OK. I would like to upgrade my Dropbox account, but I will NOT do it without the assurance that I can change my email address. I tried to do that in my basic account, but it disallowed it. The tech support chat person sent me a link that took me to help that (HAHAHA!!) would not help me unless I have more than a Basic account.
It's a vicious cycle. I refuse to give them money to increase my storage unless someone there can assure me that I would be able to change my email address as needed from the old email address, and I can't get any help unless I pay for the increased storage.
And in case you are wondering, I tried reading through all their "Help" files (un-helpful files) and could not find assurance that I could change my existing email address.

Technically it shouldn't matter what subscription you use when trying to change the email address linked to your Dropbox account.
Would you like to tell me what happens when you try to change your email? Do you get any specific error messages?
Was your old email address linked to a Dropbox account before? I'd appreciate it if you could send me the ticket number from your communication with our support, in order to locate it on my end.
Keep me posted, and we'll take it from there!
