Unable to link two personal accounts

PLEASE HELP! Unable to link two personal accounts via Mac OS Desktop OR via website. Each account has its own email address. Window freezes after entering login detail for 2nd account AND bar at top says "log in to team account". I don't have a team account. For days  I have reinstalled, restarted, signed out and back in again. No luck.  PLEASE HELP. 

The instructions to link personal accounts do not work. WHAT TO DO? Pulling my hair out.

    You can't link two personal accounts, or two team accounts. You can only link one Business team account with a personal account.

    The intent is that it allows you to have an account for work (team account) and a personal account syncing to the same computer. It's not possible to link two accounts of the same type.

    Thank you for the info. Please ask the web team to put that info in the documents explaining how to link accounts. And suggest they add a note to the desktop app. I can't be the only one who spent days on this. Thanks again for explaining

    As Rich said, currently, it's only possible to link a personal and a work account together, and not two personal accounts.
