account access

Hello, I have used dropbox for several years (my dropbox mail address was: [Removed as per Community Guidelines]). The problem is that I cannot access my account since 2021. Sep. 2. Resetting password did not work. (No e-mail was arrived from dropbox.) Today, I tried to register dropbox account with the same mail address. Surprisingly, an account with the same mail address was created. Maybe my original account with my data file was deleted. I want to restore my data and original account. Thank you.Solved14KViews0likes24CommentsPhone number has changed/new phone. How to access my old Dropbox account?
I need to access my old account. Two-step verification appears to be on. Code was sent to my old phone number, which has changed. I now have a new phone and new number. (Old phone no longer works as the screen is shattered/doesn't power on) I don't recall having an emergency backup code on hand either. I need to get into my old account. My email address for my old account is <SNIP> I know the password. I NEED TO TALK TO CUSTOMER SERVICE BY PHONE OR EMAIL A/S/A/P. I NEED A LIVE PERSON PREFERABLY. (I had to create a new email address, Google account, etc. all because two-step verification was "on". Apparently most of my online activity was linked to my old number, which no longer exists. I find it super frustrating...) There are very important files on my original account that I need to retrieve/get back. I created this new account (that I'm using to type this) just so that I can file a complaint and hopefully get some answers/HELP! *Edit: I no longer have the SIM card to my previous phone, which was a Samsung Galaxy A10e ... Ugh! *@$!&#Solved46KViews3likes14CommentsI don't have access to my account's email, so I can't receive the 6-digit code to sign in.
Please help me. I have email address and password. Each time I try to login it sends access code to email that no longer exists and I do not longer have access to. How can I get logged in?Solved163Views0likes8CommentsI tried to connect my desktop app to my old Dropbox account, but I accidentally made a new one.
Device Dell all-in-one Operating System/Browser (if using the web) Windows 11 Question or Issue I have a new Dell all-in-one desktop PC. It is intended to replace a prior Dell All-in-one PC which has a Windows 10 OS that is no longer supported. To access my prior Dropbox account and files, I thought I needed to download the Dropbox app on my new PC. Apparently, that was a big mistake. I now have two Dropbox accounts, can't access the first account on my new PC, and new account doesn't have the capacity to house the files from the first account should I try to transfer them over. I have messed with this unsuccessfully for more than a week, read the suggested articles and FAQs, etc. I'm ready to just terminate the new account and look for other storage options. How do I terminate my new account? For that matter, how do I terminate both accounts? Thank you.29Views0likes1CommentCannot log in to my account because my email address is no longer active

Hi. Recently I've started having the problem reported by others months ago of being faced with no less than 10 ridiculous puzzles to complete in order to log on. Having done so it says you have failed verification. Having been through changing lots of things I'm convinced it's not to do with browser, extensions, VPN or whatever as it is only intermitant and other times I simply get a code to email and log in no problem. So are these puzzles the fault of Dropbox ? Why on earth is this happening ? Very frustrating.114Views0likes3CommentsIssues logging into the desktop app, I can't get past the login page.
Earlier in this week, I was able to log into my institutional and personal accounts. I am using Will 11 on my PC with Firefox. I then changed the setting for the institutional account to online only. Then I moved (I thought) the matching directories for those online files from C: to H: drives. On looking this morning, it seems that the matching directories are listed on both C: and H: . I have had considerable problems managing the Dropbox files on my PC and in the cloud. So I want to check what is happening and continue to upload files for my colleagues. However, I am unable to login in to Dropbox from my PC starting from the icon in the taskbar. Both my institutional and personal logins hang or do not progress past the login page. Any idea what might be causing this?290Views0likes8CommentsSomeone logged into my Dropbox account and changed my email
