I can't access my email in order to get the 6-digit security code. What can I do?
I can login successfully, but needs me to check 6-digit code in email.
Before immigration, login dropbox never needs me to check 6-digit code in email.
After immigration, it needs me to check 6-digit code in email. (same computer)
My email account was disabled (long time no use and I forgot the password), I can't login to my email to check the 6-digit code.
I only want to login Dropbox without check email 6-digit code, so what can I do?
Thanks
It is very unlikley you will be able to access the account without access to either a device (mobile possibly?) with Dropbox installed already OR the email.

You will need to log a ticket with Dropbox while not logged in - even to here so try an incognito browser and use the option to get account support from www.dropbox.com/support.

Hi Kristy Crooks, thanks for posting here today!
The issue is that without access to the email address associated with the account, there's no way to verify ownership of the account.
Is it possible to reach out to the email service provider, to ask them to re-enable the email?
Let me know more!
- Kristy Crooks2 years agoExplorer | Level 4No I can't, it was an old work email address, and they changed it a little, so any of the old addresses stopped receiving emails late last year! It's a shame I can't verify any other way, like another email or mobile phone

Hi @Megan,
Thanks for your quick response.
Yes, I do have access to the email addresses(2) to both of the accounts.
Cheers!

Hi there, Kristy Crooks.
Do you perhaps still have any devices connected to this account?
Or perhaps a way to regain access to the email address? Without access to the email address, there's not much that we can do, so perhaps your IT department/person could help you with this.

It all depends on if the old email domain still exists and has a proper MX record pointing to the company mail server. It's pretty easy stuff. It might be worth a call to the company to see if they can help.

Hello All,
Our company changed our email addresses. When they did, the idea was that we would have access that would be on-going with no end. That didn't pan out. My old Dropbox is now inaccessible. I have many important files that are beyond my reach and need to figure this out. Does anyone have insights for me?
Thank you so much!
Mark

If you've forgotten your password or you're being asked for a one-time security code, then it won't be possible to sign in to your Dropbox account without access to the email address associated with it. The only other option is if you have another active device that's already signed in with which you can receive the code.
Your best chance is to get access to the old email address. If your company still owns the old email domain name, it should be easy for your IT department to set up an email alias that points your old email to your new email.

I'm trying to access my dropbox account. I'm able to type in my user and password but it's asking for a 6 digit code that was sent to an email that doesn't exist anymore so I can't get the code.
Please help.
