I can't get the code to access one of my Dropbox accounts; the email is inactive.

Hello,

I hope this finds everyone well.

I have a free personal Dropbox account as well as a Dropbox Plus account I started 10 years ago associated with an old work email. I have the password for the old work email one but I can't access it because I no longer have that email (so I can't plug in the code it keeps sending to this dead email). I would be happy to cancel this account but I want to see what I have in there before I do. I can confirm I am paying for it but that doesn't help me actually access the account.

All I want to do is talk to customer service but since Dropbox doesn't think I have a paid subscription it won't give me a number and I can't find it.

Any assistance is most appreciated.

Thank you,

Mary

    Dropbox doesnt have phone support.

All support is via www.dropbox.com/support. You need to go to that page while not logged in, even to here, so try and use an incognito window.

Note you may not be able to get the account back, but they can stop payments: https://help.dropbox.com/account-access/lost-email-access

Thanks Mark, your advice is much appreciated. No phone support is disappointing (and seems very basic?). I will try logging out and using an incognito window to see if I can access more support services that way. Do you think that will help me at least get email support?

I have multiple years of photos in that account (how many I can't recall) so I'd really like to access it but if that proves too headache-inducing, cancellation is the next step.

    Thanks again.

And very expensive.... its available to paid business customers, but, not below that.

Yes, the contact forms are available if you go while not logged in. If you are, and as I said, even logged in here, the system detects you are a customer and doesn't offer you the option.
