I was invited to join a team, but I want to get my individual account back.
I had a personal subscription plan with 2 TB earlier, and one of my clients has added me to their Company DB account recently.
This is my 2nd time that the Admin of that company has deleted my acco...

And if you absolutely must join the team with your existing account, when it's time to leave make sure the admin knows that they need to convert your account back to an individual account, and not just remove you from the team.

Hi, Rich I have asked the admin to convert my account back to an individual account and remove me from the team. And he did as I said. also sent this article.

However, after being removed from the group, I now again have a brand new account with 2GB, and none of my files are there.
How can I get my files back, and any advice we need to follow, please?

Hey Isuru W - sorry to hear you're still having issues with this.
Can you please confirm that you had your files back when you were re-added to the team and that your team admin followed the steps outlined in the video in this Help Center article when they removed you from the team?

Is this something my subscription is not there anymore?
It's expected that your subscription is no longer active. When you joined the team you would have received a prorated refund for the time remaining on your account. When you leave a team you'll be back on a Basic account. You can resubscribe if/when needed.

I have forwarded this message to them. Not sure how they did. But said they have followed the instructions from the given link.

Just curious if I pay, can I get my files back as Admin says he did, according to the link.
Paying has nothing to do with your files. Your team admin is the only one that can potentially recover your files for you.
When you were first removed from the team, the admin had the option to transfer your files to another account. If they did that, then that person may be able to share them back to you.

Hi, Rich the Admin has invited me to join their DB team again, and I have accepted. Now that all files are there, is there any way I can leave the team with my files without losing any of them, without involving an admin person? Seems he and I can only access my files.

Hi from me as well, Isuru W.
If you'd like to be removed from the team and return to an individual Dropbox account, only the admin has the ability to do that for you.
They'll need to remove you by following the steps in this article.
This will remove you from the team, but you'll keep your account and your personal files. In the article I linked, you'll see exactly what data will be transferred to the individual account and what won't be transferred.
I hope this helps!
