Can I upload about 300 GB of files to my Dropbox account through the website to back it up?
Hello,
So I'll try and keep this straight forward. I'm a huge music fan and my most important files are my MP3 etc. I currently have 315GB of downloads on my laptop and would like to back them up.
With Dropbox would I be able to simply drag and drop a music file of that size into Dropbox via a old fashioned web upload to the site?
I'm aware there's a Dropbox desktop app but I don't necessarily want to sync my files, it's more about having copies safely stored in a reliable place (if that makes sense?).
Just want to know if Dropbox is the one for me,
Any info/ advice appreciated,
Thanks,
A Music Fan.

Hi there, abitofhelpplease! Thanks for reaching out!
You can definitely upload your files to your Dropbox account through our website.
It is a rather large upload and we'd definitely recommend the desktop app, but the website has a 350 GB upload limit so with that in mind, you should be able to upload them.
You can see more info about adding files to your Dropbox account here.
Let me know if you have more questions.

abitofhelpplease as a fellow music collector, I'd recommend uploading the folder of music files into Dropbox instead of a zip or rar file. Unzipping huge files years later can be a little scary.
