Really appreciate the new Sync and Storage Dashboard
Before I saw the announcement, I stumbled upon the Sync & Storage Dashboard while reviewing some updates in my Dropbox on my laptop. I like the clear visibility into the current storage on my device, as well as tips on improving storage and managing which files/folders are using storage, etc.

Hi phemsley, thanks for posting today!
Thanks for the feedback about the new Sync and Storage dashboard.
This was the intention by our team, in order to make it easier for users to see at a glance how much space is being taken up be Dropbox.
If you have any further feedback, or queries, feel free to message back!

I just want to add to this though its ridiculous that the quota is so hidden - I want to know that more than my hard drive space.
The fact that the design omits this is totally user-unfriendly and counterproductive.

I unfortunately have not stumbled across this Dashboard yet. My laptop is currently failing to sync (though other devices are syncing). According to the Help I should do the following
- Open the Dropbox folder in File Explorer (Windows) or Finder (Mac).
- Locate the file or folder you’d like to sync.
- Right-click the file or folder.
- Click Sync next under Quick Actions.
However when I right click on a file in my Dropbox folder I dont see a menu item called Quick Actions
In other news, many items of advice suggest that the problem may be that Dropbox is not running. On my laptop it is supposed to start on Startup. I see no other way of checking if it is or is not running.
Any ideas?

i have worked it out, the problem was that windows shows a drop box icon in the start menu which does not actually open the app, it just takes you to file explorer, you have to actively search for it to get the app open and running

Usually I have no issues with my files synching between home computer attached to WIFI and using hotspot at work. But it was not working and I couldn't find the specific topic to force a synch, just this article about new synching back in October. I even tried bringing computer to a cafe to use their dedicated WIFI with no luck. Finally brought work computer home, and it was connected for several hours to WIFI, and only after simply reading the article did synching finally take place ...frustrating. And I have plenty of storage space.
