Get the last activity for 350 files

New member | Level 2

I have a list of 350 file names that i need to track down, so i would like to get the last activity for each file name.

I can manuly go to the activity tab under admin and search one by one but it is very tedious.

Dropbox does offer an API you can use for listing, uploading, and downloading files, among other operations.

If you're a programmer, you can use it to write some code to get the metadata for files, such as the datetime of the latest activity on each file.

You can find everything you need to get started with the Dropbox API, including documentation, tutorials, and SDKs here:

For instance, you can list the contents of a folder:

Or you can retrieve the metadata for specific files:

By the way, those are links to the documentation for the HTTPS endpoints themselves, but we recommend using one of the official SDKs if possible:

Those have corresponding native methods for the HTTPS endpoints.
