Backing up Windows 11 desktop

Backing up Windows 11 desktop

Hi, I am trying to backup my windows 11 desktop to dropbox. The dropbox folder on this machine is on an external drive as the Surface go 2 I have bought max's out at 250gb. When i attempt to setup backing up the desktop to the dropbox folder i am told both the dropbox folder and the desktop need to be on the same drive and to put dropbox on to the default drive. I am assuming that is drive c which I can not do. "Make sure Dropbox and your Desktop folder are in their default locations. Then try again." A link to more info takes me to a paged explaining that i can delete the files i want to backup to make room 🤷🏽‍:male_sign:.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

There isnt a way around this I'm afraid - Dropbox simply isnt designed to work on external drives and is technically not really supported as the risks of data loss are so huge.
