Can't access Dropbox on new computer due to Safe-mail address

I have been using Dropbox for a decade with no problems. I had to get a new computer and now I can't log in to my account. I keep getting the message that my email, which is a safe-mail account, isn't accepted. I need my files. What do I do? I've never had this problem before.
