Desktop client stable build 175.4.5569 doesn't seem to be adding these three registry keys during installation on Windows 11. I think we may be one step closer to resolving this issue.

However, while the client is running, it is still possible to sometimes get double context menu entries, specifically on local user's desktop shortcuts (not on public user's shortcuts or other files or folder).

Well, look at this mess.

I think I asked like years ago, why not just group all the items into sub-menu.

Having all these items fill up the context menu makes no sense at all.

I can see why Microsoft makes Win11 to show basic context menu by default.

Apps just like to pollute the context menu with no regard.

Hi @BD_CSB, thanks for bringing this to our attention.

Could you try quitting and restarting the Dropbox desktop application?

I'd also recommend rebooting the entire machine as well to see if this helps.

Keep me updated with any progress!"

FOUR MONTHS AND NOTHING DONE!

WHY would anyone pay for Dropbox?

Same problem. It's been like this for many months!

Some problem here. Very annoying.

My solution is to use the right menu apps to remove the Dropbox entries. It works but the duplicated entries will appear again after some time.

When is this going to be fixed? Thanks!

At this point, I'm inclined to say that Dropbox could just use an AI Chatbot for customer support, since it's obvious the only thing they do is reply "our team is aware of this issue and are currently working on a solution" without actually doing or explaining anything, or even give some customer updates.

Or maybe that's what they already do and their dev teams are just the Google AI?

Really, the only thing keeping me on Dropbox at this point is inertia. Since it's a pain switching, considering their price is also more expensive than Google's.

Need more support?
