Hey there @zdavidross - thanks for posting your question here; I'll be happy to provide some more context on the CAPTCHA challenge for you.

As you know, CAPTCHA pages and other security features have been put in place to prevent abuse and protect our users and services too. To pass the CAPTCHA challenge now, you need to enter your Dropbox login information and type the text that shows up in the CAPTCHA challenge or press on the audio button at the bottom of the CAPTCHA box. Then, type in what you hear. Please make sure your volume is audible.

Having said that, if you're getting an error stating that you've entered the wrong CAPTCHA, please try one of the following methods:

1) Click the refresh button at the bottom of the CAPTCHA box. This will give you a new image of characters to type in.

2) Use the audio option I listed above.

3) Try logging in with a different web browser.

Let me know what you find please. Thank you!

This solution puts the cart before the horse.

The problem ain't my (in)ability to solve the captcha. The problem is the captcha.

I got one stoopid click rong, the 19 correct ones weren't enough to establish

my claimed human identity.

I repeated 3 times before giving up dropbox and switching to Google's alternative.

Google's captcha invariably identifies me as human in ONE CLICK.

The proposed solution is as much an insult to my slender intelligance as the idiotic capture itself.

Couldn't agree more - complete waste of time when 1 out of 15 or 20 apparently doesn't prove I am a human. Ridiculous feature. You need to take this back down to 3 or max 5 images.

Thanks for the suggestion @malliat - I'll make sure to pass it on to the relevant team for you as a feature request.

I won't be able to comment on when or if this might get implemented though.

If you have anything else to add, please let me know.

This rotating image capcha is stupidly done and stupidly implemented. The script in my browser only gives me one click to get the rotation correct; hold the button down slightly too long or slightly too short a time, and you can't click the rotation arrows without dismissing that image. That's a horribly bad way to do things. That can't be the best Dropbox can do, surely.

I'm a senior with more than novice computer skills.

I attempted to complete that dastardly "captcha" process no less than 10 times and failed every time.

The icons defy recognition and identification (for me) in anywhere near the allotted times.

Please change the login test to something more reasonable or I have to abandon my account.
