I have just migrated to a MacBook Pro (Intel, 2019) and get the message above. Your help would be most appreciated.

Notes:

  • I have deleted and reinstalled Dropbox afresh (from the website)
  • I have deleted my existing Dropbox folder and any associated DB preferences
  • I have followed the 'Advanced Install' Terminal instructions, without any error messages
  • Another user on this computer IS able to use Dropbox and sync her folder

Hey @andydavy, thanks for bringing this to our attention.

Can you let us know which exact macOS version you're running?

Also, you mentioned that another user on this computer can use the Dropbox application as normal; do you mean that they've installed Dropbox on a different user profile?

Any additional info you can give us, would be very helpful.

Thanks.

Hi there, Hannah

It's Ventura OS 13.2.1

The other user has a different user profile/login, so I guess they're using the same Dropbox.app stored in Applications, just with more success than me!

Both of our accounts have been migrated into this MacBook, she from an old MacBook Air running Big Sur, me from this machine, running Ventura (via a Hard Disk copy, as this machine was wiped and a fresh OS installed yesterday).

Let me know what else would be helpful,

Andy

Hey @andydavy, sorry to jump in here, but would it be OK if we reached out via email to have a further look internally at this point?

That would be fine.  I assume you already have my email.
