Time estimation and upload speed in the desktop app on Mac

Time estimation and upload speed in the desktop app on Mac

How long will my upload take?

Dropbox used to have a clear display regarding this.

Then they changed it and I had to hover over the dropbox on the menubar icon (mac).

Now they've changed it again apparently? Hovering gives me information on my dropbox version and that my file is uploading.

Thanks. But dropbox used to provide more information here.

Now it's hidden somewhere else? or not available? Unfathomable.

I hate discovering these changes and new shortcomings on a Friday evening.

Any assistance welcome.

I have no "further queries", just the "original queries'.

How long will my upload take?

Why did dropbox remove this information from my paid service?

Bumping this, in the hopes of getting an answer.

Please note I am not posting to provide "feedback" or a "comment" for consideration.

This is a problem and I was hoping to get to a solution from someone knowledgable.

Can I roll back to a version of dropbox that supports this? If so, which version? Where do I find that?

Hi @R S12, keep in mind that we've checked with our team and can confirm that they're aware of some issues causing the feature's unreliability.

Unfortunately, we don't have a timeline for fixing it yet, as this could have multiple causes . But we can look into it further via email if that's ok with you, and we'll do our best to help out further.

Thanks!

I have the same issue. I used to see an estimate on time left to upload ALL files. Now it just sporadically displays the time left for the current file. That doesn't help! Can you (meaning Dropbox) fix what you broke? (This is also a paid account.)

Need more support?
