I am concerned that Dropbox somehow is saving or storing documents i have created.  It has put green check marks next to documents. If I unistall Dropbox, will it delete the check marks only...releasing it from Dropbox cloud and keep my files/documents or will it delete them? I never asked for them to be saved in Dropbox. I only have Free version Dropbox.

Thank you for any help you can give me.

Hey there @redrockmom - thanks for posting on our Community and happy Monday!

Can you please let me know if you've enabled the Dropbox Backup feature at some point in the past?

Do you see any folders in your backups page online?

A screenshot of what's troubling you would also help, so feel free to send us one in your next reply.

Thanks!

Thank you Walter.  I must've clicked something in the past to have it saving documents, but have no clue when that happened. I used your link to go to the back-up page (didn't know that existed) and unclicked the upload and document saves. Checked my Downloads and all are unchecked as well as the documents. Thank you for your assistance.  Dropbox was great for uploading my pics, but actually prefer a direct upload from my phone to computer.

I take it I can just uninstall Dropbox now, and all my photos will no longer upload to Dropbox?

Hey @redrockmom, provided that you disabled Backups, and allowed for your content to return back to where they originally were, then yes.

You should be good at uninstalling the app.

In any case, we're here to help!
