@Kester - apologies your posts didnt appear. They were for some reason picked up by spam filters. They are being a bit overzealous at the moment due to a mass influx of spam over the past few weeks.
I've marked them all as none spam and they should show up shortly.

I just discoverd this "informational" event popping up every second, as I was trying to troubleshoot a "probably" unrelated issue with Outlook. Using the suggestion to disable DbxSvc, I decided to just try stopping it, and then change the Startup Type to Manual, instead of disabled. That seems to work too, and the useless "information" events have now stopped. Interestingly, within a couple of minutes after that, I was able to see two events that popped up that are related to the original problem I am having with outlook. Amazing what you can see in Windows 10 when you can get some of the junk out of the way.
What he said. PLEASE get it to stop this, it's driving my Application log bananas.
Accidentally discovered that this is my problem too.
Since the application log in my case was limited to 20MB and unfortunately automatic archiving was not configured, I can not say precisely when the issue was arised - at least from 25.06
Today I noticed that now the frequency has changed to 1800000 milliseconds:
Failed to connect to the driver: -2147024894, retrying in 1800000 milliseconds
Hi folks,
Really sorry about this. There was a regression here and as a result things ended up logging way too frequently.
We have a fix in v30.3.14. If you're hitting this, could you try this version (or any future beta build as we roll them out) and let us know if you're still seeing rapid logging?
Thanks,
Ben
Apologies for my three similar but not identical posts - if you read Mark's post you will seem my original attempts to post them were thwarted by the SPAM filter. Thanks Mark for sorting it.
Hi bn,
Quotes from these three earlier posts on this thread show your suggestion has already been tried but not resolved the issue:
1)
Today version 30.3.14 probably fixed the problem
There is no probably, it either did or didn't.
You're right and i was mistaked. Problem is yet here (((
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Personally I will not try the Beta version but will leave DbxSvc disabled until a Dropbox release shows the problem has been fully resolved.
Hi Kester,
It seems like there are a couple issues:
30.3.14 should address (1), but (2) still occurs in some scenarios.
