Dropbox on two computers; one of them is not syncing

Dropbox on two computers; one of them is not syncing

I have Dropbox on my home and work computer so I can work on files in either place. I recently returned to my office after working from home for 2 years. My Dropbox folders in my office are not synced with those at home/online, even though the folders have the green check mark on the icon in File Explorer. Dropbox in my office seems to know that things, though: Some files have the comment "You moved 6 days ago." Is it possible that Dropbox is still trying to catch up with 2 years of changes? Or is something else going on?

Possibly related: When I open the desktop app it says I have an outdated version of Dropbox. I clicked "Update" but nothing seems to have happened.

Hey @DoctorBob, thanks for letting us know about this.

Do the changes you made on your home computer appear in your account online?

If so, it seems that the issue lies with your work computer. I assume that's the one with the outdated version of Dropbox.

On your work computer, can you please hover your mouse over the Dropbox icon in your system tray/menu bar, to see the sync status and version of the Dropbox app?

Let me know what you find.

OK, the issue is fixed. Apparently I couldn't update on my work computer without admin privilege.
