Hi Stuart_Hunt, thanks for bringing this to our attention.

How exactly are you sharing this file with your users. Are you sharing the file directly to the Dropbox accounts?

Or, are you sharing a link to the file (or folder) and then copying and pasting that link in an email?

This will help me to assist further!

The file is shared directly (email comes (via Dropbox) <no-reply@dropbox.com
I am actually the recipient who does not get the email

By the way earlier this morning I tried to reply from my mobile

As part of the login to this forum an email should have come to me with 6 digit code

I did not get the email or the retry and still have not got it one hour later (nothing in Spam either)

Hey Stuart_Hunt, sorry to jump in here, but have you made sure that you're  looking at the correct Dropbox account? Do you happen to have another one perhaps, associated with a different email address of yours?

If not, please let us know and we'll reach out via email to investigate further.

As for the email notification about the shared file, have you ensured that you have your notifications turned on?

I only use this dropbox account

Back on 17 Aug 2023 and before that the emails came to me

Nothing has changed from our end as far as we know

As this sounds like a shared folder or folder, it should appear on your Dropbox page here or here. Do you see the file you were invited to view there?

Are you using a public email provider, or a private business, education or phone carrier domain?

    Thank you Jay,

Yes I can see the files in the shared files folder.

The emails are sent from hotmail email account.

My email is a telco/carrier email account

Sorry, could you clarify what you meant by the emails being sent from a Hotmail address? Do you mean the creator of the share is using a Hotmail address for their Dropbox account?

Could you try adding no-reply@dropbox.com to your contacts list and have someone share a new test document to see if you get a new shared invite? Is it possible that your email service provider is preventing you from receiving the emails to begin with?

Yes, the creator of the share is using a Hotmail email address

I have adding no-reply@dropbox.com to my contacts list and I still did not receive this weeks email.

As the email isn't appearing in your inbox, I'd recommend checking with your email service provider to see if they could be restricting traffic to the following Dropbox domains.
