Files are not syncing to dropbox. At first I thought it was an internet problem but it has been happening for 2 days now.

Which version of the Dropbox app are you using and what's the sync status?
You can see this info, by hovering over the Dropbox icon in your system tray/menu bar.
Also, what's your computer's OS and version?
Let me know and we'll go from there.

Im using the desktop version 166.4.2920 and it says theres a sync error. it has a red circle and white " X"

Could you try updating to the latest version from this page and us know if this persists?
If it does, a screenshot of the app's exact status as shown in your menu bar/system tray would be much appreciated.
