Hi @MaryHillegas, happy Monday, I hope you're doing well!

I'd be able to guide you only as far as Dropbox goes. I am guessing you need to download your zip file locally, and then upload it using your third-party app, however I wouldn't be able to guide you on the uploading part, since this is outside my area of expertise.

What steps have you tried so far? Which device do you use, in order to achieve that?

Keep me posted!

Thank you for wanting to help me.

I received a zip file from a cousin in Germany.    It looks like it is 832.3MB.  I have unzipped it in dropbox but I can't seem to access it.  It is "greyed out" in my list of files.  Is it too big??????  How can I get this file from Germany?     Thank you for your help.

I get this type of message:

Hey @MaryHillegas, I would suggest you ask the person who sent this file to you, to send it through a shared link instead.

You can give them the steps to create the link from this article.

I hope this helps!

Great! Thank you. I think I read that this method would provide a read-only file. Question: will I still be able to import that data into my family tree?

Hi @MaryHillegas, you should be able to download the content locally, or to your Dropbox account.
