Photos stopped uploading for no reason

I was uploading photos to my Dropbox folder on my iMac and suddenly I could not upload any more.  There was no warning.  My Dropbox folder's size is 608 MB. Does anyone have any idea what may be wrong?

Thanks!

Hi, Lusil.  I did try uploading individual photos.  No go.

Then a few days later this problem seems to have resolved itself.  I have no idea what changed, but now I can upload photos again.  🙂

Hey @pauli - sorry to hear that! How are you uploading files to your Dropbox Folder exactly? As a headstart you can go here and see if you're out of quota.

Have you tried to reproduce this behavior? Are you getting any errors?

I am dragging and dropping photos from Photos on my iMac to a Dropbox folder.  My account is well under quota.

I have some shared folders.  Could this have to do with how shared folders are counted against my quota? I am not getting any errors.

Shared folders do use up your quota.

You can see what quota you are using at www.dropbox.com/account

Also, @pauli, are you actively running the desktop app? What does it say if you hover your mouse over it?

I am running the desktop app.  When I hover the mouse over the icon it says: Dropbox 53.4.67 Up to date.
