Shared folder does not sync to PC

Shared folder does not sync to PC

Hi everyone

I'm working freelance for another firm. They shared their project folder with me and I can access it via dropbox in my browser. My problem ist that it doesn't sync to my desktop dropbox folder. I tried re-installing, editing the selective sync options as well as checking my kaspersky firewall & antivirus settings. Nothing has helped so far.

My employer is working with an upgraded/ paid dropbox plan. I've only got the free version. The shared folder is only 1 gb in size and my personal dropbox is empty so space should not be a problem.

My employer is working with Mac, I'm using windows 10.

Does anyone have an idea what the problem could be and more importantly how I could solve it?

Thanks in advance!!!

Make sure the folder doesn't have any characters in the name that would be incompatible with your operating system. If it does, rename the folder.
