Not sure if anyone is on here doing this but my workflow has become allocating my ProTools audio print tracks to my Dropbox folder. I have my Dropbox folder on a secondary internal drive. Once I print I see the files getting uploaded and eventually I get the green check mark confirming they are there. Once that happens I send out a link to the files. The issue now happens that once the person (in this case an online editor) opens that link and downloads the files, there are missing pieces. If he downloads again those missing pieces get filled in and there are different missing pieces. If he waits an hour or so then everything is there. So my question is, when I upload to Dropbox with my Desktop app and the files are checked off are they really fully up or is there some other synching happening? I don't know how else to explain it. I know many guys who do this who haven't had issues. Just curious if anyone might have an idea about this. thanks
Hey @Goom , thanks for using Dropbox and posting on our Community!
It sounds like you might be sharing links to files that haven't been completely uploaded yet.
Can you clarify if you're making sure that the desktop app is 'up to date' and not still syncing when you share a link to your newly uploaded files?
You should be able to check if the app has finished syncing your changes by taking a look at the app's status in your menu bar/system tray.
Let me know and we'll take it from there.

The app has been up to date every time. Now this is happening with one particular person and when I try with others I don't have a problem but it's very strange and I'm not sure if it's even a Dropbox issue. I just I'm just wondering if this is something that has come up before. Thanks.
Hi @Goom, if they are downloading the file via a shared link from the Dropbox site, and it's only occurring with one person, then their downloads aren't completing correctly.
Could they try switching browsers to see if this helps?
Otherwise, they can try using incognito/private browsing mode without any extensions running, clearing their cache and even resetting their browser entirely.
