We have a dropbox familyplan. If I share folder "A" with user "Alex" and folder "B" with user "Brian" then both "Alex" and "Brian" gets notifications if I make a change in folder "A". Usually it's no big deal, but now we have to plan a surprise for "Brian", and the idea was to use folder "A" to gather photos and videos for a presentation, but there won't be much surprise if "Brian" gets notifications.

Hi there, @MortenKrogholm, I'd be more than happy to help!

We definitely don't want this surprise ruined, so let's see what we can find.

You mentioned that you're part of a Family plan. Is it possible that the folders you're sharing, are already within the Dropbox Family room folder

Keep me posted, and we'll take it from there!

Hello Megan,

Sadly the folders are not in the family room, as it would make more sense

Hey @MortenKrogholm, sorry to jump in here!

Can you click on the "share" button on the folder and then on the "who can access" option on both folders, to double-check that the sharing permissions are correct?

If they are, can you send us a screenshot of one of the notifications that Brian receives, when you update folder "A"?
