"You need the new app to continue" message when sharing a link

I'm so (today more than ever I'm this close to cancelling my subscription here and moving to any alternative) annoyed by now with this - I share a link to my clients with their content and they get a message "you need the new app to continue",  sometimes they don't get it, sometimes they do, sometimes even I get it and it doesn't matter if I'm logged in or not. Since I'm sharing this link with my clients on Instagram - they all open it in the mobile browser.

Why is this happening? How to get rid of it forever? Also - any other alternatives to dropbox that you'd suggest I'd change to?

Hey @annoyedbydropping, thanks for reaching out to us.

I just tested this twice on my end, and I do see an option to continue on the website, so let's see if we can find what's going on here.

Are you creating your links through our website or the mobile app?

And are these links perhaps "can edit" ones, instead of "can view"?

Also, if you scroll on that page seen in your screenshot, is it possible that there's a 'continue on the website' button?

Let me know and we'll go from there.

@pedrothehuman, can you take a look at Hannah’s post above and also provide the info she had previously asked the original user?

Let me know when you’re ready.
