Edited folder name is not reflected in download link

Edited folder name is not reflected in download link

I just posted a folder with Wedding pictures in it. I had mistakenly misspelled the Brides name in the folder containing these images. I fixed the name but even afterwards when I check the link it is showing the old spelling. I even made new links but the old spelling persists. I do not want the recipients to see the misspelled name when they download these pictures. How do I get the copied download link to show the correct folder name?

This is a shared link.

I finally got around the issue by creating a new folder and moving the files into the new folder, therefore, creating a new shared link file.

I believe that perhaps the name of the folder is somehow hard wired when the shared link is created and therefore changing the folder name afterwards has no affect.

Thanks.

Hi @Bhang, thanks for bringing this to our attention.

Is this a shared folder which is added to a Dropbox account, or a shared link which can be accessed from the browser?

This will help me to assist further!

Hi @Bhang

That is correct - same if its a Shared Folder which has edit access 🙂
