Not able to open files after uninstalling
I uninstalled dropbox and I am not able to run certain folders. I get an error that I cant connect to the network to access my downloads folder plus many others. I know this is related to dropbox because I have seen other posts about this but I cant seem to fix it, please help. I have reinstalled and tried to de-sync but nothing seems to be working. This way I cant move anything to any disc, which is frustrating. I cant open the folders I need and I can work properly, without installing dropbox again and I dont need this program anymore. I really need help.
Since you've already uninstalled the Dropbox desktop application previously, the system folders may be elsewhere.
Could you try these steps to restore their original locations?

Hi GretaB, thanks for bringing this to our attention.
It sounds like you enabled the automatic computer backup feature in the Dropbox desktop application. Could you first try disabling the computer backup from Dropbox using the steps in the above article to see if this helps?
Afterwards, you'll get the option to move the folders and files back to their previous locations, which will also delete them from the Dropbox account online.
Keep me updated with any progress!

Because I already uninstalled Dropbox, I had to install it back again to be able to see the Dropbox preferences. Sadly, when opening "Backup"-> "Manage backups" I only see this .
This is where all the steps end, because I cant do anything else what it is said. I am still unable to move anything to other discs.

This step worked! Thank you. I received all the missing files. Hopefully this doesn't happen again. Now - can I uninstall Dropbox without any losses? I didn't let the program create new backups or anything.
