Re: Recovery period ended

Recovery period ended

If that is the ONLY event then one of two things happened:

  1. You've actually set up a new account by mistake
  2. Dropbox wasnt syncing on your old device and its only now started syncing again.

Hey @vyaroslav2, we currently don't offer support in Russian, but I'd be more than happy to help.

As a first step, could you please check your events page for relevant info on changes that have occurred to content, as well as your deleted files tab for any recently deleted files.

Furthermore, could you also ensure that you’re looking through into the relevant Dropbox account by checking the email address that’s associated on the website and other connected devices:
Let me know what you find!

Hello, thank you for your fast reply! I cannot find files in the "deleted files tab". I have used Dropbox on another computer, then have bought this new one (as far as I remember, I have installed Dropbox right away on it). So on 17 march 2019 I formatted the harddisc on my old computer. Several days ago I was trying to get into the files on Dropbox, the files gone. I was hoping the files would store on cloud, no matter if I formatted the harddisc. So I had no intentions to delete them.

Thanks for writing back, @vyaroslav2

Do you see any relevant event here regarding these files being in your account on the website? Do you remember seeing green ticks :white_check_mark: (which would mean that the files were synced to the website and any other connected device) or the Dropbox icon that’s next to you computer’s clock showing that it’s up to date?

Let me know of any updates!

I cannot find any signs of files being in the system (only I have found that my new computer was attatched to the system on 8/3/2019 20:13). I am pretty sure the Dropbox icon was up to date, so it was synced.
