The Spotlight re-indexing suggestion fixed Spotlight being able to search DB files. However, re-indexing did not help with Finder Search.

Finder Search is successful when searching "This Mac" for DB files. Finder Search does not find DB files when searching "Dropbox".

Looking for any potential solution to try while impatiently awaiting any official Dropbox communication on this issue.

Tried that. Didn't help. As I mentioned in the post, re-indexing Spotlight did help the Spotlight searching. (It had been broken as well.) The re-indexing did not help Finder Search.

Sure. FWIW - I have had an open ticket 21048201 on this for over a month with no luck.

Hi @jbeaston, thanks for mentioning that you already have a ticket.

In this case, there's no need to open a new one. Please keep an eye on the existing ticket of yours for any updates on this issue. Thanks!

I find the same thing. Without being able to search in specific folders, Dropbox has become almost worthless in my usual workflow. I submitted a ticket and the specialist who responded stated "Dropbox engineers are aware of the problem and are working on a solution." However, no timeline. Moreover, I haven't seen any acknowledgements by DB staff in Community Discussions here that this is a real issue that needs fixing. Reindexing solves disk search for files in DB, but it does not fix the loss of folder search.

For now, I have moved current working folders to iCloud, which has full search capabilities. If DB isn't updated so that it recovers the ability to search folders, I see no option but to exit the service.
